About

From 2004 to the end of 2011, I wrote articles, posts, and reports for various websites and organisations on a number of topics centred around religion, politics and society. I have written in particular in opposition to the BNP and other racist organisations, as well as various other extreme or socially divisive groups and movements, including far-leftists and Islamists. I have additionally attempted to counter some of the sensationalist and paranoid notions that feed into anti-Muslim bigotry.

I have been interviewed for two BBC Radio 4 programmes on extremism (see here and here) and my work has been cited in a number of print publications and featured on various websites.

Naturally, as a result of targeting extremists and their fellow travellers and apologists, I have become the victim of smears and distortions which you may find in various places online. I have attempted to address some particularly egregious examples of such dishonest misrepresentation here.

During my time writing and blogging, I strongly advocated atheism. However, I no longer class myself as an atheist, having found my home in the Judeo-Christian tradition.
